Optofluidics Inc. is a biotechnology start-up serving the biomedical research instrumentation and point-of-care diagnostic markets. Using unique nanotechnologies, Optofluidics develops devices that allow researchers to perform biomolecular analysis of single proteins and other small molecules faster and more economically than ever before. This same technology may lead to a point-of-care device for detecting traumatic brain injuries from a drop of blood.

Cornell Connection

Optofluidics' technology is based on technologies developed in a Cornell Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering lab. The company uses the Cornell Nanofabrication Facilities extensively. The company's foundational technology is licensed from Cornell University.
