IMR Test Labs is a materials testing lab that provides chemical analysis, metallurgical analysis, mechanical testing, corrosion testing, and failure analysis on metals, polymers, and composites. Recent expansions include ICP-MS analysis, DMA testing, and Fatigue testing. A business unit of Curtiss-Wright Surface Technologies, IMR Test Labs serves primarily the aerospace, power generation, automotive/transportation, medical, and product safety industries. In addition to Lansing, New York, IMR is located in Louisville, Kentucky, Portland, Oregon, Singapore, and Suzhou China.

Cornell Connection

IMR’s founder, a Cornell graduate, began the company while consulting at Cornell and serves on the advisory board of the Cornell Center for Materials Research. IMR has performed research at the Cornell Nanofabrication Facility and works with the university’s Entrepreneurship and Personal Enterprise Program. Several principal technical staff members are Cornell graduates.
