Finger Lakes Wine Alliance
- Finger Lakes wines and wineries
The Finger Lakes Wine Alliance seeks to increase the visibility and reputation of the Finger Lakes American Viticultural Area (AVA), its wines, and wineries. The alliance actively engages with local and national trade and media through programs, education, and direct interaction. Working alongside Finger Lakes wineries, their goal is to educate consumers, industry representatives, and media about the Finger Lakes and its rise as North America's preeminent cool climate wine region with Riesling reigning supreme. Through the success of their programs and recognition from national media, the Finger Lakes is well known for their soil, diversity of Rieslings, and focused wine making.
Since 2013, the Finger Lakes Wine Alliance has utilized the Cornell Technology Farm facility in Geneva for office and conference space as it serves as a central location for many Finger Lakes wineries. The FLWA is grateful to have continued access over the years to the helpful staff and faculty of the Cornell Cooperative Extension Finger Lakes Grape Program for historical data and resources.
